Lake Balinsasayao

Lake Balinsasayao is the twin of Lake Danao, in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, Philippines

This trip's travel info:

  • Getting there (from Dumaguete City):
    • Highway travel time - 20-30 minutes, inclusive of the usual traffic.
    • Rural road travel time - 1 hour (at least 50% is cemented/asphalted)
    • Walking travel time - 2 minutes (This is simply the time it takes to go down to the lake from the parking lot. Quite short since the site is easily reached by vehicles.)
  • Entrance fee - P30 (vehicle) & P10 /person.
  • Highlights of the place
    • A 76-hectare lake where you can boat, swim or simply marvel at.
  • Things you should bring
    • something to shoot images with
    • bottled water
  • Things you may want to bring
    • food
    • swimming gear
    • life-vest (it's a lake and, hence, buoyant force is less than in sea water!)

Images of the trip:

4 pics of a much smaller lake (Lake Kabalin-an)
that we passed by on the way to Lake Balinsasayao.
